The Project TriStar Global Initiative has been established to expand the scope of the Project TriStar self-sustainable community model to a global level. The intent is to provide access to our combined knowledge, experience, and solutions to assist other communities in their organizing, planning, and development.
In the process of researching, planning, and development of remote, off-the-grid, and sustainable communities, Project TriStar has accumulated vast knowledge into solutions for creating self-sustainability based solely on renewable energy sources. The resulting designs and solutions include unique applications of technology that maintain a healthy balance between humanity and nature.
Whether someone is working towards self-sustainability for a single family, small group, or large community, the research required to achieve self-sustainability can be overwhelming. The questions related to energy and resources that will eventually need to be answered include: renewable energy sources, waste processing, water storage, food production, dietary intake, living quarters, and structural considerations.
The Project TriStar website contains over 100 pages of content and a FREE self-sustainable community blueprint for those who may find it useful. Community facilitators are welcome to use all or parts of this blueprint in the planning and development of their own community.
The ability for most people to create their own community generally revolves around access to resources. The Project TriStar self-sustainable community blueprint contains ideas and designs that some community facilitators may find are outside of their budget or access to resources. As such, Project TriStar also has a wide range of recommendations to reduce the need for resources or money to create your community.
The Project TriStar Global Initiative is also open to helping select communities become a Project TriStar model. A community that qualifies for this opportunity will have even greater access to the Project TriStar Global Initiative staff and resources including assistance with choosing a location, planning, fund raising, construction, and development.
The Project TriStar website is designed to support and promote the development of multiple communities simultaneously. This includes a private forum and online project management application for each community. Qualifying communities will be added to the list of Project TriStar communities and provided administrator access to these powerful website tools.
In order for communities to be considered and approved for this opportunity, the community founders must apply and be approved by the Project TriStar Global Initiative management staff. This includes a review of the community leadership, community location, and any modifications to the Project TriStar model.
